Dunnworks is one person, working with small businesses in Hampshire, Surrey and further out. No account manager, no team you never meet, and no work handed to someone else once the invoice is agreed.
The short version
Small businesses were sold websites that were never built for them
Nearly every small business I speak to is on the same footing. A site was built on a platform 5 years ago, it has been paid for every month since, and it has never brought in a single job anybody can point to. Nobody is happy with it and nobody wants the argument of replacing it.
That is the work. Take what the business already has, write the site by hand so it loads fast and reads properly on a phone, put the phone number and the enquiry form where people can reach them, and hand the whole thing over so it belongs to the owner rather than a platform.
I'm Tony, based in Bordon, Hampshire. I write every line of every site myself rather than assembling one from a template, because a business that runs on plain English deserves a website that does the same: no jargon, no padding, no surprise invoice. If a site can't earn its place doing a job every week, it isn't worth building.

The name
Dunnworks is a surname and a workshop, which is close enough to the truth
Sites here are made the way a workshop makes things: one at a time, by hand, to fit the business that ordered it. Nothing is assembled from a kit and sold as tailored.

The tools are boring on purpose
Nothing here is chosen because it is new. It is chosen because it is cheap to run, easy to move, and still going to work in 5 years.
Static hosting on a fast network
GitHub Pages or Cloudflare Pages. Free for a small business site, quick everywhere, and simple to move.
Supabase, only where it earns its place
Galleries, testimonials, members and enquiry records. A proper database rather than a monthly plugin.
Resend and Web3Forms
Enquiries reach your inbox and stay out of spam, with a copy kept so nothing is ever lost.
Google Business Profile and Search Console
Set up at launch, with a sitemap and structured data, so the site can be found for the work you want.
A GitHub repository in your name
Every change is recorded and reversible. If you ever move to someone else, they get the lot.
Good fit
